Cinnamon Butterfly Rolls לחמניות פרפרי קינמון
Taste those rolls first.. I hope you'll love them as we do
Eat them fresh from The Oven...
If any are left, the best way to keep them fresh is in The Freezer
Take some Rolls out .. 1/2 hour before eating, warm them for few seconds..enjoy !
Cinnamon Butterfly Rolls: לחמניות פרפרי קינמון
1/3 cup sugar (or 1/2 cup) =70-100 gr
1 ts salt
1 package active dry yeast (=2 ts +1/3 ts=7 gr)
5 cups all-purpose flour (5X140 gr)
1 cup milk
180 gr butter (= 3/4 cup)
2 ts vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts (any kind you like)chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1 ts cinnamon
H O W :
1.In a bowl, mix sugar, salt,yeast,1 cup flour.
2.Heat milk and 120 gr (=1/2 cup) butter until very warm(125F).
3.Beat liquid into dry ingredients.Beat 2 minutes,add vanilla,1 egg,1 cup flour; beat 2 minutes.
4.Stir in 2 cups flour.knead dough 10 minutes,working in about 3/4-1 cup flour.
5.Place in a big bowl,Cover ; Let rise until doubled, 1 1/2 hours.
6. Punch down dough; turn onto floured surface ;cover for 15 minutes.
7 .Grease 2 cookie sheets.
8. Mix brown sugar,nuts,raisins,cinnamon.
9. Melt 4 TB (=60gr) butter.
10. Cut dough in half.
11.Roll half into 17.5" by 12" rectangle.Brush with half of melting butter; top with half of sugar mixture.
12.From 17.5" edge,roll dough (as shown in the picture..)pinch to seal.
13.Cut into 9 wedges, 2.5" at wide side,1"at short side.
14.Turn wedges short-side up; press with your finger across each.Repeat.
15.Place on cookie sheets; let rise until doubled. (I let them 1 hour)
16.Preheat oven to 180C(350F). Beat remaining egg-use to brush the rools.
17.Bake 20 minutes until golden.
Makes 18 - 20 rolls.

    I gave The first tray ,the red one..also put some in the freezer,
    I love potato bread! I've baked last year the "le cordon bleu" version,sure yours will be Fine :-)

  3. I've been thinking I need to bake cinnamon rolls for a week or so now. I think you're pushing me over the edge. Those look wonderful--but then again, your blog always makes me hungry.
