Italian Honey Nut Rolls / Cooking Italian-bay books
2 cups AP flour
1/4 cup caster sugar
100 gr cold butter,chopped
4 TB honey, warmed
3 TB chopped almonds
3 TB chopped nuts(as you wish)
1 ts ground cinnamon
1/3 cup mixed peel chopped
3 TB chopped almonds ,extra

Preheat the oven to 350F (180c)
Put the flour,sugar,butter in a bowl, rub in the butter unril crumbly.
Add 2-3 TB cold water and cut through,until the mixture forms a dough.gather together into a ball.
Cut the dough in half and roll each piece into a strip about 16 X 4 in (40X10 cm)
Trim the edges with a knife.
Spread 1.5 TB honey on each half, sprinkle with the nuts mixture
Roll up lengthways into 2 long 'sausage ,shape and cut –each rolld half in 4
Place on a baking tray.
Glaze with the remaining honey (=1 TB),sprinkle with nuts and make diagonal slashes in the top
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown
You can serve it warm with whipped cream, perhaps dusted with icing sugar
